Cindy: "I have been teaching ballroom dance for over 10 years. My entry into dancing started with line dancing at the Capital Ritz!! It gives me great joy to both learn and teach many styles of dance. Moving to music is a wonderful way to express yourself and connect with others. I am so grateful to share this job of dancing."

Rhonda: "Both of my parents were instrumental in my learning and instructing dancing but mainly Father. I have been dancing since 4 or 5 yrs old, learning the box Waltz from Father then and dancing ever since. Mother and I took over Father's line dance class when he decided to stop. That was thru the park board. We then came to the Ritz shortly after the Ritz opened in 1997. I have taught here since all these many years and am thankful for our dear dancing friends."

Zumba

Amanda: "My name is Amanda, and I've been attending Zumba classes since July 2020. In August 2023, I became a licensed Zumba instructor. I initially started Zumba to stay active during the pandemic, but it quickly became much more than just a workout. Not only did I lose weight, but I also gained confidence and formed lasting friendships--all through the dancing. Unlike the many gym memberships and workout routines I tried in the past, which I could never stick to for more than a few months, Zumba has kept me coming back for over four years. I always look forward to it because Zumba takes the "work" out of the workout. Once the music starts, you lose yourself in the fun, dancing with friends, and everything else just melts away. Ditch the workout. Join the party."
