The Beginning
Founded in 1997 by Drs. Philo and Kwei Lee Su, the Capital Ritz Banquet & Dance Studio was built as a heartfelt contribution to the Jefferson City community.

What began as a personal passion for ballroom dancing soon blossomed into something greater. In search of a smoke-free, elegant space to enjoy their hobby, Philo and Kwei decided to create their own—complete with special effect lighting, a state-of-the-art digital sound system, and stunning floating ballroom wood floors.

Over the years, Capital Ritz has grown into a vibrant, multi-purpose venue that serves as a home for dance and wellness classes, social gatherings, and private events of all kinds—from weddings and fundraisers to conventions and community meetings.
